Talk Back Baby

by Honeybone

/
  • Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

Honeybone's debut album 'Talk Back Baby' out October 18th 2013.

The songs span a long period, with the oldest song being written during the Soul on Fire sessions, and the newest in early 2013, the band abandoned early recordings and songs when 2nd guitarist Josh Simons left the band and the group relocated to Melbourne and tried to focus their sound more.

The music on this disc is a collection of sounds that the band feel best represents them at different points in time, a fusion of bluesy garage rock, with trace grunge and prog elements sprinkled throughout and we are as proud of it as we are ashamed of how long it took to come out. We hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed creating it for you, the fans.

Comes in a gatefold card case with artwork by Kelsie Trainor, and includes immediate download of the album upon the release date.

about

Honeybone's debut album, 'Talk Back Baby'. Recorded over a span of two years, with half the album being recorded at Albany Street Studios in Dunedin New Zealand, half at Toyland Recording Studios in Melbourne Australia, and bits and pieces done at the band's home studio.

Featuring the lead single 'Don't Need You' as well as older songs from the Soul on Fire era and newer ones written upon the bands relocation to Melbourne, 'Talk Back Baby' focuses the bands songwriting attempts into a fusion of blues, grunge and garage rock, with trace elements of prog and early hard rock.

Honeybone is:
Rachel Trainor: vocals, drums and percussion
Peter Jermakoff: bass guitar and backing vocals
Drew Handcock: vocals, guitar, organ and keys.
